Riding Mount Fromme is a must see attraction if you are a mountain bike rider. If you are a local, the popularity of these trails is not secret but it is surprising how many people have not taken the time to look at the incredible trail work (all done by volunteers) that has been done to create a world class attraction. Mount Fromme is the birth place of the Free Ride style of mountain biking. Characterized but extreme jumps and obstacles, it is a sight to behold and a thrill of a lifetime negotiating the trails that weave their way down the mountain side through a 100 year old forest. Although the majority of the trails are for advanced riders there are a few trails for the novice rider. If you are interested in riding the shore, there are a number of ways you can go about it. If you are an experienced rider and all you need is a map, click here. There are also a great website with all the trail information you need including GPS information, check out Trail Peak.Com.
If you want even more information, visit North Shore Mountain Bike Association. These are the people who build the trails and make Mount Fromme the increadible place that it is. They have all the current information about trails and you might even find a group to ride with. There are some companes that do guided tours of Mount Fromme but the District of North Vancouver have tried to run them out of business. Do some google searches and you may find someone who is still doing it. Check out a short You Tube Video of the "Riding the Shore" it gives you an idea of what it is all about.
